What do people Say?

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience at our Hens with Pens session with our Model Chris. Materials, berets and moustaches provided were perfect. Along with the laughs, we all said how we could see improvement in all of us from the beginning to the end of the session thanks to Chris‘ help From enquiring to the life drawing to the day of the event, I can not fault HWP. Highly recommend them. 😁

Hens With Pens delivered a great activity!

Hens With Pens delivered a great activity, we had a range of ages, backgrounds and abilities and everyone really enjoyed it! Our Tutor Chris provided good drawing games which got everyone’s competitive side out and our Model Matthew was so professional that everyone was at ease. Chris helped to keep the whole thing a surprise for everyone right until the last moment. This was a good laugh, I’d recommend Hens With Pens to anyone

Brilliant fun!

We’ve just got back from a brilliant hen weekend, where one of the things we did was a Hens with Pens life drawing class with the very sweet Chris. It really was a lot of fun and we all had a blast 🙂 .It was a great mix of fun and arty stuff. Would absolutely recommend to others!

In the Past & the Present

I have been involved in leadership roles in youth organisations for nearly 10 years since my mid teens and has previously been a volunteer youth worker, helper and scout leader in in Wales and England including being involved with the highly regarded Commision funded National youth led heritage project, Unloved Heritage. The Ceredigion panel of which I was part was highly commended at The Heritage Angel Awards in 2018 for recording an upland industrial and agricultural heritage site. Having supported Young people and young adults in my varied career, I have experience a variety of settings, from urban uniformed youth organisations, to open access rural youth groups and everything in-between. Additionally at the other end of spectrum I worked in 2018 and 2021 for a University Student support, giving direct one to one mentorship to young adults as well as mature students with the complexities of University life.

I also have experience running adult Art workshops. In 2021 I brought this experience to a new level and began teaching adult Art classes for a UK based events company, traveling across Wales and the West Midlands of England running life drawing classes for clients via an agency. I was recently awarded Level 2 Safeguarding qualification.
