Layering of coloured shapes and outlines of figures on these pieces became a key focus. But my concerns began to grow that it was quite a shallow painting process, attractive, colourful, but what was its purpose what linked it all together. The focus on the six paintings had made me slightly lose track of where it was going with project as a whole.

It was time to refocus. Wanting to try to develop a more muted colour pallet for archive project. I’m finding the bright colours have become a distraction from my original aims. Taking inspiration from some 1904 Edwardian oil paintings I just brought of.
